Welcome to lunar gardening

There's something deeply satisfying about stepping into the garden each morning and knowing exactly what it needs. Plant. Weed. Water. Prune. Harvest. One small act that quietly prepares the next.

Gardening has become one of the most devotional parts of my life. It slows me down, pulls me out of my head, and reminds me that abundance isn't made all at once — it's what happens when you show up consistently and work with nature instead of against it.

When I found gardening by the moon, everything changed. Instead of standing in the garden wondering what to do next, each day arrived with a clear focus. The calendar traded guesswork for rhythm. One day I'd plant. Weeks later, harvest. Then save seed for the next season. Every small action set up the one that followed.

Those actions compounded. My little garden grew more abundant than I thought possible, and my morning visit became the part of the day I looked forward to most. This tool is my way of passing that on.

It gently guides your attention each day based on the current moon phase and zodiac sign, so you can work with the same natural rhythms that have guided growers for generations. Whether you're tending a few pots on a balcony or a whole homestead, I hope it brings you the clarity and quiet joy it's brought me.

It also changed how I grow anything — including a business — which is what led me to build the Business Attention Almanac.

Why This Exists

This tool exists because of the incredible work of the team behind Gardening by the Moon.

Their annual lunar gardening calendar completely changed the way I garden. It taught me to stop trying to do everything at once and instead focus on the one thing that mattered today. That simple shift transformed not only my garden, but the way I think about work, nature, and daily life.

If this tool resonates with you, I wholeheartedly encourage you to support them by purchasing one of their beautiful annual calendars from Gardening by the Moon.

This web app is my own interpretation and software implementation inspired by their work. Their printed calendar offers a wealth of seasonal wisdom, gardening knowledge, and guidance that goes far beyond what I’ve included here. Supporting them helps ensure this tradition continues for future generations of gardeners.

May your garden thrive, your soil grow richer each season, and your mornings begin with the quiet joy of tending something alive.
